Alignment

The way we move through life is reflected in our bodies. Over time, everyday habits, postural patterns and previous injuries can lead to subtle compensations — a raised shoulder, dropped hip or altered gait — placing additional strain on surrounding structures.

An Alignment Therapy session begins with a postural and gait assessment to identify areas of imbalance or restriction. A tailored re-alignment sequence, based on the Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) methodology, is then combined with targeted fascia release to address areas of tension and restriction.

Working with the body as an interconnected system, this treatment aims to support improved alignment, mobility and balance. Performed fully clothed and within yourcomfort level, it offers a considered ‘MOT’ for your body.

Aromatherapy

For thousands of years, people have interacted with the natural world for healing, wellbeing and connection. Long before modern medicine, plants formed the foundation of many traditional healing practices, and their therapeutic properties continue to influence healthcare today.

Aromatherapy honours this enduring relationship through the use of carefully selected essential oils, each carrying its own unique qualities and character. Their aromas and natural properties can complement a treatment by supporting relaxation, emotional balance and physical wellbeing.

Essential oils can be incorporated into massage, cupping and hot stone treatments, while a diffuser can gently introduce their benefits during other therapies.

If you would like to explore a particular oil or blend, please get in touch before your treatment.

Cupping

Cupping therapy applies gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying tissues. This creates a decompressive effect that can help release muscular and fascial tension, encourage circulation, and support lymphatic flow. It can be particularly useful for areas of stubborn tension where traditional massage techniques have not achieved the desired results. Cupping may leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which are a normal response to treatment and typically fade within several days to a few weeks. Treatment is tailored to individual needs and can be incorporated alongside massage to promote softer, more mobile and receptive tissues.

Hot Stones

Hot Stone Massage blends the therapeutic benefits of massage with the soothing warmth of smooth, heated basalt stones. The gentle heat helps to relax muscles, ease areas of tension and increase tissue pliability, allowing the body to soften and release more fully. Stones are incorporated into flowing massage techniques, creating a deeply calming and restorative experience. Particularly beneficial for those experiencing muscular tightness, stress or fatigue, this treatment offers a comforting sense of warmth and tranquillity. Warmth surrounds you throughout the treatment, creating a nurturing, grounding experience that calms the body and quiets the mind.

Lymphatics

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels, nodes and organs within the body that maintains fluid balance, supports immune function and removes cellular waste.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) uses gentle, rhythmic techniques to support the movement of excess lymph fluid from the tissues to drainage ducts. MLD can
provide supportive, gentle treatment for people with conditions such as
lymphoedema and may be appropriate alongside care for conditions associated with swelling, including arthritis.

Brazilian Sculpting & Maderotherapy

A more vigorous treatment than traditional MLD, Brazilian MLD utilises firmer pressure and dynamic sweeping and pumping movements to stimulate lymphatic flow and circulation. Massage tools, including rollers and sculpting boards (maderotherapy), enhance the treatment and can help to create a more defined, contoured appearance. Ideal for those seeking a more sculpted look alongside the benefits of lymphatic massage, this revitalising treatment leaves you feeling refreshed and energised.

Remedial Massage

A more targeted and outcome-based treatment, Remedial Massage focuses on specific areas of muscular tension, discomfort or restriction. Using firmer, more purposeful pressure, the treatment aims to address underlying soft-tissue tension and support improved movement and function. Advanced techniques such as tapotement, trigger point therapy and myofascial release may be incorporated according to individual needs. Rather than being primarily relaxation-focused, the
treatment is tailored to areas of concern and adapted throughout the session to support your individual needs.

Oncology

Oncology Massage is a gentle, nurturing treatment offering comfort, relaxation and a sense of being cared for during a challenging time. Using light pressure and slow, soothing techniques, it can help ease muscular tension, support relaxation and encourage a greater sense of physical comfort, while providing space to unwind and recharge. Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation, ensuring you feel heard, respected and fully supported. Your oncology treatment, symptoms, energy levels and overall wellbeing are carefully considered, with appropriate adaptations made to suit your individual needs. Above all, this is time dedicated to you, your comfort and your wellbeing.

Reflexology

Rooted in ancient healing traditions, reflexology is based on the principle that specific reflexes on the feet and hands correspond with different areas, organs and systems of the body. These reflexes create a map of the body, providing a connection between the physical and energetic aspects of wellbeing. Through precise pressure and massage techniques, each reflex is stimulated to encourage a response in the corresponding area, supporting the body’s natural ability to restore balance and heal. Reflexology can promote deep relaxation, ease tension, encourage circulation and support physical and emotional wellbeing, while creating space to reconnect with yourself on a deeper level.
